Recently a group of cinema students, faculty and cinema production supervisors packed up for a mountain adventure. The assignment was “Mapping the landscape through image and sound.” While it is not unusual for cinema students to go out in the field to gather audio and video material, this time was a bit different. Their tool for the task was an iPad.
The University, with assistance from the Center for Scholar Technology, is positioning the October 10, 2013 home game day as an opportunity for an online teaching drill, to test tools and scenarios that prepare faculty for the possibility of a real campus closure in the future.
