Otto Khera, Senior Manager, Research and Evaluation

As Senior Manager, Research and Evaluation , Otto Khera leads CST efforts to provide outstanding research and evaluation support regarding technology-enhanced and online student-centered education at USC. Khera is the USC representative director for the New Media Consortium.

Khera has been with USC since 2001 and has held numerous positions. Khera managed a rich-media faculty facility in Leavey Library that provided Blackboard training, and he also served as the business development manager for the TEL initiative which included distance-learning business plan research and development for USC schools and business strategic partnering with external partners-notably Google and Google Apps at USC.

Khera received a master's degree in business administration (MBA), a bachelor of science degree in finance, and a bachelor of science degree in economics at Arizona State University. He recently completed his master's degree in online communities at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Before joining USC, Khera directed the new media center at Western New Mexico University (1998-2001), led a New Mexico regional arts and entertainment print media project (Desert Exposure, 1995-1998), and a cable television channel start-up project involving short films and videos for 'Generation X' (Axon Television, 1993-1995). Khera was also the assistant director of the Center for Atlantic Studies (Arizona State University, 1987-1993).
