Carl Kuzmich, Instructional Designer

Carl Kuzmich has spent the last 20+ years working with over a 1,000 institutions advising them on how best to incorporate technology into their classrooms. He came to USC from the University of Pittsburgh by way of Blackboard Inc.
At the University of Pittsburgh he managed the Advanced Graphics Lab & the Faculty Technology Center before working in the Office of Medical Education, where he was responsible for creating an online problem-based learning environment that was used to deliver medical education to 1st and 2nd year Med School Students. He later moved into the Center for Instructional Development & Distance Education, where he was responsible for the introduction of CourseInfo, a course management system, during the fall of 1997. There he both managed the system and advised instructors on how to use the CMS to effectively engage users in an online classroom.
For the last 12 years, he worked for Blackboard Inc. and has traveled the world consulting with and advising institutions about how to best rollout a CMS to faculty and students.
