Events & Training
CST offers events that help build an elearning community at USC, including regular Faculty Forums during the semester, communities of practice focused on specific technology-based teaching and learning strategies and programs, and the annual Teaching with Technology conference. CST also provides regular monthly meetings for USC IT managers to connect on instructional technology infrastructure supporting distance learning, technology-enhanced learning, and learning environments through the TEL Technical Circle. CST provides training in the use of Blackboard for course management, in-class polling ("clickers") for formative assessment, the Second Life immersive environment for online interaction and simulation, and training on specialized instructional technologies.
CST also offers customized training and professional development workshops in instructional design, assessment, and the integration of multiple technologies for teaching and learning. To request a training session or workshop for your school or department, contact us at cst@usc.edu.
